This live-action version of Pinocchio - in Italian with English subtitles - is very much a retelling of the original Carlo Collodi story as opposed to the 1940 Disney animation, and it thrives in the absurd world that's spawned from the writer's mind.

This movie comes from the creative mind of director Matteo Garrone who brings his distinctive surrealist and dark cinematic style to a much known and loved tale. Characters can be squished by cars, drowned, or attacked by enemies, but it’s all done in a very cartoony way, without blood. Parents need to know that Disney Crossy Road is a clone of the popular game Crossy Road, a simple arcade game in which you help a pixelated character cross the road, much like Frogger from days past - only this time, the characters all come from Disney's movies and shows, instead of the iconic chicken from the original.
